Martha Lou Smith

SMITH, Mrs. Martha Lou Akins, 73, a resident of Luverne and formerly of Scottsboro, died Wednesday December 5, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 2PM in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Houston, MS with Houston Funeral Home of Houston, MS directing. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Dan R. Smith, Sr.; a daughter, Judy Lynn Smith; and a son, Danny Frank Smith. She is survived by four children, Patsy (Cotton) Jordan, Sheila Ann Guess, Dan R. Smith, Jr., and Machell (Alan) Johnson; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:30PM on Saturday before the service at Houston Funeral Home.
