Martha Estelle Stubbs

STUBBS, Ms. Martha Estelle, 62, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. Funeral services for Ms. Stubbs will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 13, ,from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Michael Stubbs officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne. Ms. Stubbs was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory M. Sr and Beatrice Eagerton Stubbs; three sisters, Marie Elaine Stubbs, Linda Ruth Morris, and Loretta Irene Ray; and brother, Billy Ray Stubbs. Ms. Stubbs is survived by her three daughters, Penny (Ronnie) Wilson, Tonya (Ellis) Farley, and Amanda Snell; six grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Ethan Wilson, Marleigh Snell, Kevin William Freeman II, and Kylem Freeman; three sisters, Ruby (Bryan) Benchley, Elizabeth (Mike) Watson, and Sylvia (Harvey) Askew; two brothers, Emory (Betty) Stubbs, and Emory “Bubba” Stubbs; and stepmother, Sheila Stubbs. Active pallbearers will be Tyler Jordan, Ellis Farley, Ethan Wilson, Ronnie Wilson, Emory Stubbs, Bobby Snell, and Mandrell Jones. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Charles Tompkins and his staff, as well as the staffs of Crenshaw Community Hospital, Luverne Health & Rehabilitation, and Hometown Medical. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 - 11 AM.
