Martha Summerlin Smith

SMITH, Mrs. Martha Ann Summerlin, 79, a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, and formerly of Luverne, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 28, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Minister Robert Sport officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Eugene Smith, and her parents, Walter N. and Verla Moseley Summerlin. She is survived by her four children, Kathy (Doug) Faulk, Kenneth (Jennifer) Smith, Ann (Thomas) Greene, and Beverly (William) Hall, and eight grandchildren, Madison (Kaleb) Huff, McKenzie (John) Zartman, Austin (Natalie) Smith, Kaitlyn (Scott) Swanson, Torrey (Amy) Greene, Tyler (Ericka) Greene, Riley Hall, and Reagan Hall. Martha retired from SCI, and then went on to work for Sam’s Club. She was also a member of University Baptist Church in Huntsville. Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 – 11 AM.
