Mary Elizabeth Adams

ADAMS, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth, age 95, a resident of Brantley, Alabama died Friday, September 29, 2017. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Brantley Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Johnson and Rev. Wesley Hatcher, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Brantley Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Adams; daughter-in-law, Martha Adams; son-in-law, Donny Warrick; her parents, George and Pearl Parker Duncan; and two brothers, Roscoe Duncan and Clifford Duncan. Survivors include three children, Shirley Adams Warrick, Connie Adams, and Rusty (Ellen) Adams; six grandchildren, Michelle Jenkins, Jeffrey (Amy) Warrick, Dionne (E.R.) Johnson, Renee (Drew) Tysinger, Tiffany (Jason) Wallace, and Amanda Adams; eleven great grandchildren, Alli Warrick, Fran Warrick, Kate Warrick, Jeff Warrick, Summer Jenkins, Skylar Jenkins, Chase Jenkins, Will Stone, Wyn Johnson, Walt Johnson, and Jax Wallace. Active pallbearers will be Ronny Adams, Earl Henderson, Sam Noblin, Dale Graham, Michael Marvin and Blake Motes. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Brantley Baptist Church or to one’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends at the church Monday morning from 10 am until service time.
