BLACKWELL, Ms. Mary Florence, 93, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018. A graveside service will be held for Ms. Blackwell at 2 PM on Thursday, May 3, in Cameron Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Robert Foreman officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Ms. Blackwell was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Addie Cameron Blackwell; two sisters, Benona Mitchell and Ilona Prescott; three brothers, Coston Blackwell, Huel Blackwell, and Ray Blackwell; and nephew, Wayne Mitchell. She is survived by her two nieces, Jo Ann Radcliff and Gail Prescott; four nephews, Wright (Carolyn) Bundrick, Charles (Dinah) Bundrick, Wilburn (Jean) Mitchell, and Timothy Blackwell; and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. Active pallbearers will be Wilburn Mitchell, Michael Bundrick, Tim Blackwell, Jack Kervin, Joe Grant, and Harold Barrow. Marcus Boone and Aubrey Blackwell will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Luverne Health and Rehabilitation, especially those on Walker Lane, and Dr. Charles Tompkins. They request that any memorial donations be made to the Cameron Chapel Cemetery Fund at Brantley Bank and Trust Company. The family will receive friends in Cameron Chapel Methodist Church on Thursday from 1 - 2pm.
