Mrs. Mary May Faulk, 81, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away at Baptist Medical Center South on Monday, June 28, 2021. Funeral services for Mrs. Faulk will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 3rd, at Salem Church of Christ with Rev. Joe Leverette and Rev. Steve Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Faulk spent her life serving hundreds of people in her community through some of their most difficult times while she worked as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration until her retirement. In her free time, she loved nothing more than vacationing in the Smoky Mountains with her family. She was always a faithful, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, roles that were more important to her than any others during her lifetime. She was also a dedicated member of the Salem Church of Christ for many years where she loved worshipping her Lord with her church family. She was such a loving, kind, and cheerful person that there was rarely a room that she didn’t light up just by entering it and she had a gift for lifting the spirits of everyone she met with her joyful smile.
Mrs. Faulk was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Faulk Jr; their daughter, Laura Jane Faulk; parents, Edward Clyde & Mattie Lou Lacey May; brother, Kenneth David May; and twin infant sisters. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, William “Bill” & Amy Faulk; grandson, Jesse Dillon Faulk; two brothers, Bill (Lorene) May and Michael (Jackie) May; brother-in-law, C.J. (Betty) Faulk; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Loyce Faulk and Sybil Stringer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 2nd, from 6 - 8pm.
