Mary Frances Handley

HANDLEY, Mrs. Mary Hawkins, 88, a resident of Luverne died Sunday, January 11, 2015 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Luverne First Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Handley was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Boyd Handley, Sr.; a son, William Nix Handley; her parents, Nix and Temple Hawkins; and a brother, Bill Hawkins. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Boyd and Carey Handley; two grandchildren, Ford (Lauren) Handley and Caytlin Handley; a brother, Dr. Doug (Dean) Hawkins. Active pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Bubba James Seawright, Jim Williamson, Steve Lester, Walter Folmar, and Billy McSwean. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 pm until 8 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations may be made to the Luverne First Baptist Church or to the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery Fund.
