Mary Lester Hodge

HODGE, Mrs. Mary Lester, 69, a resident of Luverne, died Thursday, June 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. O. Sanders and Minister Jack Cates officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Gladys Holmes Lester; four sisters, Betty Byrd, Fleta West, Barbara Thompkins, and Juanita Gooden; and two brothers, Randy Lester and William Lester. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Foy W. Hodge; three children, Rita (Jack) Finlayson, Anthony Mcleod, and Stephanie (Dean) Sanders; three grandchildren, Blakely, Haley, and Jenna Sanders; and her brother, Royce Lester. Active pallbeares will be Billy Ray Lester, Gary Byrd, Jerry Bedsole, Darren Kersey, Brent Beck, and Gene McLeod. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
