Mary Elenor Sasser

SASSER, Mrs. Mary E. Compton, 94, a resident of Brantley died Friday October 12, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday October 14, 2012 at Sasser Church of Christ with Rev. Wayne Webber officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Sasser is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Obe Sasser; two sons, Collen L. Sasser and G. Dale Sasser; and three granddaughters, LeAnna S. Stubbs, Debbie S. Hayes and Mitzi S. McBryde. Survivors include two sons, James H. Sasser and Dwight (Elaine) Sasser; daughter-in-law, Sheila H. Sasser; ten grandchildren, Obie Sasser, Michelle (Jeff) York, Mickey Sasser, Skipper (Keith) Lee, Sal.Lee (Tony) Williams, TeLenna (David) Jones, Stallion (Lauren) Sasser, ShyAnn (Erik) Shirley, Stetson Sasser, Sterling (Kacey) Sasser; fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Stetson Sasser, Stallion Sasser, Sterling Sasser, Don Sasser, Erik Shirley, David Jones and David Dunn. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1 pm until service time. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Crenshaw Christian Academy in Luverne, Alabama.
