Mary Ashley Shows

SHOWS, Mary Ashley, 47, a resident of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Funeral services for Ms. Shows will be held at 11 AM on Friday, April 28, at Luverne First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Sims officiating. Interment will follow in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mary Ashley attended Crenshaw Christian Academy, and, following graduation, she attended Brenau University, and later graduated from Troy University. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbye Speed Shows. Survivors include her father, Thomas W. (Courtney) Shows of Luverne, two sisters, Rebecca (Jud) Bryan of Montgomery and Barbara (Shawn) Brantley of Pensacola, one brother, Warren (Mary Anne) Shows of Birmingham, six nieces and nephews, William Brantley, Mathews (Sarah) Bryan, Thomas Shows, Caroline Brantley, Lee Ellen Bryan and Reid Shows, two aunts, Sue (Billy) Beall, Betty Speed, uncle, Joe Cassady, and a multitude of cousins. Active pallbearers will be her two brothers-in-laws, Jud and Shawn, and her nephews, William, Mathews, Thomas, and Reid. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Luverne First Baptist Church, Crenshaw Christian Academy, American Lung Association, or your favorite charity. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 – 11 AM.
