Mary Viola Sasser

SASSER, Mrs. Mary Roberson, 93, a resident of Brantley died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Sasser Church of Christ with Ministers Jeff Grimes and Jason Holladay officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Sasser is preceded in death by her husband, Stanford Sasser; her parents, William Levi and Ida Deavers Roberson; five sisters, Clara Maddox, Irma Moon, Ilma Walker, Glennie Stephens and Mattie Lou Milton; and two brothers, Coleman Roberson and Ferman Roberson. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Roberson, Rickey Carnes, Mailon Boyd, David Dunn, Keith Grimes, and Steven Johnson. Jimmy Johnson and Ricky Compton will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:30pm until service time. Flowers are welcomed or donations to one’s favorite charity. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. S.P. Walker and his staff for the loving care they have provided.
