Mrs. Mary (née Posey) Hartin Whiddon, 89, born on December 18, 1931 in Alabama and passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021, after an extended illness. She had been a resident of Marietta, Georgia since 2008, and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Kennesaw.

Mrs. Whiddon was preceded in death by husbands, W. E. "Earl" Hartin, J. H. "Hiram" Heartsill, and W. E. "Ed" Whiddon; an infant daughter, Sheila; an infant great-granddaughter, Ansley; her parents, Houston and Lena Posey; and three brothers, Earvin, James, and Cecil Posey. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Dennis) Szeszulski; two grandchildren, Shannon (Drew) Turner, of Acworth, GA, and Brett (Katie) Montgomery, of Washington, Utah; five precious great-grandchildren with another on-the-way; her beloved sister, Lois Saucer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a graveside service at 11 AM on Saturday, February 20th, in Danielville Baptist Church Cemetery, Honoraville, Alabama, with Reverend Mike Moses officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
