Matt was always up for an adventure and knew how to enjoy life. He attended Auburn University before earning his bachelor's degree in global business from Troy University. A diehard Auburn fan, he also loved the Atlanta Braves, Nashville Predators, and NASCAR, especially Kyle Larson. Whether he was heading to the beach, attending a concert, or watching a race at Talladega, Matt was usually having a good time. He had an eclectic taste in music, especially enjoying Billy Strings, and there was rarely a time Matt didn't have music playing. He was blessed to have attended some incredible concerts and have some amazing experiences along the way.
Matt was incredibly smart, quick-witted like his mother, and something of a walking encyclopedia of random facts and sports statistics. He was an excellent cook who could grill just about anything, an avid golfer who won a state championship while attending Pike Liberal Arts School, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Matt lived in several places over the years, including the beach, Atlanta, Nashville, and Scottsboro....never staying planted in one spot for too long. Matt poured everything into making each day count in his far too brief life on this earth, and that's
Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Sissy Clark Tidwell. He is survived by his loving father, Rockford Dale Tidwell Sr; brother and sister-in-law, Rockford Dale Jr & Marlee Tidwell; grandmother, David & Mary Pharis; his beloved canine companion, Stella; and numerous aunts, uncles, other extended family members and friends.
