Mattie Lou May

May, Mrs. Mattie L., 91, a resident of Grady, AL died Wednesday July 14, 2010. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday July 17, 2010 at the Lapine Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Mount Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. May is preceded in death by infant twin daughters, Rachel and Charlotte; her husband, Edward Clyde May; and a granddaughter, Laura Jane Miller. Survivors include four children, Mary Faulk, Michael (Jackie) May, Kenneth D. May and William (Lorraine) May; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Bill Faulk, Garry Dickey, Wayne Dickey, Jay Hollingshead, Travis Wesson and Kenny Sanders. Bill Spear will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The body will lie in state at the church for 30 minutes prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 pm until 8 pm Friday.
