Mattie Louise Mcqueen

McQUEEN, Mrs. Louise Lindsay, age 72, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, joined her heavenly father on Thursday, July 30, 2015 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Mount Carmel Methodist Church with Rev. Randall Culp officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Lapine, Alabama with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. McQueen was a loving mother and grandmother who sacrificed so much for so many and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Lindsay; the father of her children, Richard P. Lindsay; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.B. Hester; and four grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Franklin McQueen; five children, Shannon (Kecia) Lindsay, Elaine Hilliard, Willa Jane Rice, Angie Nance, and Pam (Wade) Higgins; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Kathy (Vaughn) Brewington; three brothers, Buddy (Karen) Hester, Joe (Cathy) Hester, and Leroy (Carol) Hester; and a lifelong friend and sister-in-law, Jane Hilliard. Active pallbearers will be Corey Hester, Jared Hester, Billy Nance, Joe Hilliard, Dakota Ellis, and Brandon Henderson. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1pm until service time.
