Melba F. Cosby Jeffcoat

JEFFCOAT, Mrs. Melba Cosby, age 82, a resident of Rutledge, AL died Thursday, March 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2 PM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Gafford officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Jeffcoat is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Cosby and Maebelle Cosby Capps. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dorsey R. Jeffcoat; eight children, David Jeffcoat, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Jeffcoat, Glenda (George) Bryan, Gloria (Lamar) Defee, Becky (Buddy) Broadway, Billy Jeffcoat, Mike (Melinda) Jeffcoat, and Ricky (Donna) Jeffcoat; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and her brother, Earl Cosby. Pallbearers will be Stanley Defee, Jonathan Defee, Chad Bryan, Keith Jeffcoat, Trent Broadway, and Adam Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm.
