Melba Louise Dendy

DENDY, Ms. Melba Louise, 86, a lifetime resident of Montgomery, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 3, 2017. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 6, in Petrey Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne, AL directing. For the last two years, Melba was a happy resident of Angels for the Elderly. She retired from the State of Alabama, where she was an executive secretary within the Highway Department. Melba was an avid reader, active in her choir, and, in her younger years, she was a soloist at Frazier United Methodist Church. She is survived by her brother, A. Lavelle (Berenice) Dendy, Jr., several nieces, and a nephew. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 – 2pm.
