Melissa Lynn Beasley

Mrs. Melissa Lynn Beasley, 57, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Noland Hospital in Montgomery on Thursday, July 8, 2021. Funeral services for Mrs. Beasley will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 10th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Danny Rolling officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Beasley spent several years working for W.L. Petrey Wholesale and later became a caregiver for others in need. She was also a long time member of Rock Hill Church of Christ and always enjoyed spending time with her church family in worship of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In her free time, one of her favorite activities was going fishing with her husband, though she always enjoyed just being outside in general. She also loved animals, especially her cats, and tending to her beautiful flowers. The best times of her life though were times spent with dear family members and friends. Above all, she was a devoted wife, sister, and aunt who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel & Lavada Taylor Owens. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Bruce Beasley; three siblings, Sharon (Collins) Davis, Pamela Franks, and Jesse Garner; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Clifton Trotter, Christian Trotter, Raymond Trotter, Corey Davis, Collins Davis, and Ben Sikes.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs at Crenshaw Community Hospital Home Health and Noland Hospital at Jackson for their tender, loving care of Mrs. Beasley in her final days.

They will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 - 10 AM.
