Michael Watson Adams, Sr.

ADAMS, Mr. Michael Watson, Sr., 81, a resident of Lapine died Wednesday September 14, 2011. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday September 16, 2011 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Watson, Rev. Parker Bowen and Rev. Steven Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Daisy Allen Adams; three children, Mike (Pam) Adams, Jr., Cathy (Claude) Adams and Geissla (Donnie) Holmes; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) Bowen, Candice (Steven) Foster and Alex Conner; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Bowen and Logan Foster; sister, Juanita Messick; and special caregivers, Martha Foster, Annie Ward and Courtney Johnson. Active pallbearers will be Earl Ingram, Roscoe Bowen, Greg Gomillion, Paul Allen, Luther Messick and David Messick. Johnny Yarbrough will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
