Michael Paul Boswell

Mr. Michael “Dumpy” Boswell, 43, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

Dumpy, as he was affectionately known by everyone who knew him, worked several jobs over his lifetime, from an auto mechanic in his father’s garage to pipelining and logging. He loved being outside, whether it was working or enjoying his favorite pastimes, hunting and fishing. He always had a kind word for everyone he met and he was a good friend to have. Above all, he was a loving father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

Mr. Boswell was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy R. “Pee Wee” and Helen Burgans Boswell, and his grandparents, Bo & Doris Boswell and Walter & Jewel Burgans. He is survived by three children, John Michael Boswell, Austin Boswell, and Kimberly Boswell; grandson, Logan Benbow; and three siblings, Melissa Boswell (Jeff) Adams, Dewayne (Tracey) Owens, and Curtis Boswell.

Active pallbearers will be Bo Mount, Clint Hall, Ryan Henderson, Tyler Henderson, Erik Stephens, and Stanley Defee.
