Michael Pate

Mr. Michael “Mike” Pate, age 72, a resident of Sellers, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, at 11 AM from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Al Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Pate proudly served his country with the United States Air Force for 20 years where he reached the rank of Master Sergeant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Geraldine Pate and his sister, Patricia Pate Dennis. Mr. Pate is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann McGough Pate; six children, Joshua Michael (Callie) Pate, Jillian Pate (Brad) Downs, James Waller, Richard Waller, Santanna Huneycutt, and Jessica Vinson; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his sister, Barbara Arant.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Waller, Kevin Surles, Lee Vinson, Matt Huneycutt, Jody Morgan, and SMSgt James K. Thomas. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until service time.
