Mildred Thomas Moore

MOORE, Mrs. Mildred Thomas, 93, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017. A graveside service for Mrs. Moore will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 24, in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Rev. Clay Crum and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Joe H. Moore, her parents, J.C. and Berta Brown Thomas, sister, Annette Murry, and two brothers, Harry Thomas and Doug Thomas. She is survived by her two children, Joe D. (Sue) Moore and Cheryl (John) Bagwell, six grandchildren, Chad (Tammy) Bagwell, Lindsay (Chris) Thompson, Kelly (Seth) Smith, Brandon (Erin) Moore, Bryan (Shana) Moore, and Russell (Carly) Bagwell, nine great-grandchildren, and her brother, Jack (Julia) Thomas. Active pallbearers will be Bryan Moore, Brandon Moore, Chad Bagwell, Russell Bagwell, Seth Smith, and Chris Thompson. Michael Williamson, William Petrey, and James Morgan will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.
