Mrs. Murlene Hurley Bradley, 83, a resident of Hiawassee, Georgia and formerly of Goshen, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Monday, June 15, 2020. A private graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 18th, in Hillcrest Cemetery with Brother Stae Sanders officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Bradley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her love for other people could be seen in her work as a certified nursing assistant for many years. In her free time, she was a woman of varied interests and creative hobbies. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball & rook, fishing, and square dancing. She was extraordinarily gifted in artistic pursuits, and shared those talents with so many, through her painted gourds, quilting, sewing, and crochet. In her later years, she could often be found curled up on the couch with a book in her hands and a cat in her lap. She was truly a force to be reckoned with, right up to the end. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Leon Bradley; parents, John Clinton & Nellie Jo Gibson Hurley; and three siblings, Irene Turner, J.C. Hurley, and Lamar Hurley. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Millie Poole and Sherry Bradley; granddaughter, Heather Poole; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
