Myra Farrior

FARRIOR, Ms. Myra, 101, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Funeral services for Ms. Farrior will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 15, at Patsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Malcolm Butts, Rev. Joe Leverette, and Rev. Danny Duncan officiating and Melanie Fornal and Chad Bender delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home directing. Ms. Farrior was preceded in death by her parents, Will C. and Emma Perrett Farrior, and sister, Myrtha Farrior. She is survived by a very special sister, Wilma Farrior Revel, special niece, Joanne Mills (Paul) Wilkes, great-niece, Melanie Bender (John) Fornal, great-nephew, Chad E. (Lisa) Bender, three great great-nieces, Julia Bender, Lauren Bender, and Amber Bender, and two great great-nephews, Andrew Fornal and Chace Fornal. Ms. Farrior was an active Christian all of her life and had been a member of Patsburg Baptist Church most of her life. Living in the countryside, Miss Myra always tried to make sure the young people had a ride to church, if needed, and many will remember her numerous years working at The Fair Store in Luverne. Active pallbearers will be Chad Bender, Chace Fornal, Winston Farrior, Dennis Moseley, Keith Fowler, Keith Edward Fowler, and Jace Morgan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 – 8 PM.
