Nell Langford Gainey

GAINEY, Mrs. Nell Langford, 92, a resident of Luverne, AL died Friday, March 2, 2012. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3 PM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Gainey was preceded in death by her husband, Odis T. “Ted” Gainey; her son-in-law, George “Buddy” Ballard; her great granddaughter, Jessica Gainey; and her parents, Leonard & Emma Langford. She is survived by three children, Jeanette(Billy) Ballard-Compton of Luverne, David Gainey, also of Luverne, and Randy(Chrissy) Gainey of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Wendy(Michael) Spivey of Murfreesboro, TN, DeeDee(Eddie) Harris of Dahlonega, GA, and Phillip R. Gainey of Enterprise, AL; four great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Tyler Harris, John Robert Harris, Eddie Harris, Kevin Flowers, Michael Spivey, and Phillip Gainey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 pm until service time.
