Nell Silas Senn

Mrs. Nell Silas Senn, 85, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama on Friday, August 6, 2021. A graveside service for Mrs. Senn will be held at 2 PM on Monday, August 9th, in Bullock Community Cemetery with Pastor Jack "Tinky" Parrish Jr officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Senn spent her life devoted to raising multiple generations of her family. In what free time she had, she enjoyed indulging in her love of music, be it playing her guitar, singing, or writing her own music. She also expressed her creative side through various arts and crafts. She was an avid reader of several different genres, but especially believed in reading her Bible everyday. Her garden and beloved rose bushes displayed her green thumb. Not only did she enjoy tending to it, but she also loved to watch the hummingbirds and butterflies who so often frolicked through her beautiful plants. Above all though, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Nothing was more important than her family, and she showed them that in so many ways, both big and small, throughout her life. They will all cherish the memories they have made together for the rest of their lives.

Mrs. Senn was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Parrish Senn; parents, Frank & Arrie Weaver Silas; and four sisters. She is survived by her children, Sherry (Bill) Roberts, Gary (Dianne) Senn, and Alice (Ronnie) Caudill; grandchildren, Billy Jo (Todd) Garrity, Johnny Roberts, Jessica (Will) Roberts, Laurie (Bo) Reuter, Thomas (Shelby) Senn, and Timothy (Brittany) Senn; great-grandchildren, Brittney, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Ely, Caden, Cason, Anniston, Ava, Eli, and Dawson; great-great-grandchildren, Myles & Olivia; sister, Shirley Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Active pallbearers will be Thomas Senn, Timothy Senn, Bo Reuter, Will Murray, Gary Senn, and Bill Roberts.

Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
