Nora Annette Harris, 62, a resident of Plantersville, Alabama and formerly of Highland Home, passed away at UAB Medical Center on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026. A chapel service for Annette will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 6th, from the chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing the service. There will be no graveside service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service.
Annette was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who was also one of the sweetest people God ever put on this earth. She was always so proud of her boys and loved spoiling them and her precious grandbabies, who also adored their beloved "Net." In her free time, she loved her classic country music, like Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, and was a big fan of the Montgomery Biscuits. When younger, she always loved finding a good fishing spot to spend a quiet, peaceful day beside, and loved activities like coloring as a way to de-stress and keep her hands occupied. Above all, she was a huge loving presence in the lives of all those who cherished her love and support over the years.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Gene & Nora Bell Walker Harris. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Sarah) Harris and Johnathan Harris; grandchildren, Alex & Abigail Harris and Patrick Harris; siblings, Gloria Harris, Jimmy (Angela) Harris, and Tommy Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
