Norman Edward Hagler

HAGLER, Mr. Norman Edward and Mrs. Susan Alisa, ages 60 and 56, residents of Luverne, AL, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home at 10AM with Rev. Frank Lowery officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Hagler was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Emmie Hagler. He is survived by his cousins, James Oree Hagler, Carlos Hagler, and Ritchy Griffin, as well as several extended family members. Norman was a graduate of Gupton-Jones School of Mortuary Sciences and a employee and friend of Turner Funeral Home for over 25 years. Susan was a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Horticulture and was employed by Luverne Cooperative Services for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nancy Plant. She is survived by a brother, Thomas (Carol) Plant; a sister, Judy (Christopher) King; four nieces, Lauren and Katy Plant, Jennifer LaRue (Cern) Van Newkirk and Meridee LaRue; one nephew, Jeff LaRue; a great-niece, Lillian Van Newkirk; and a great-nephew, Max Van Newkirk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9AM until service time.
