BOWDEN, Mrs. Oma Dell, 100, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Bowden will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, July 5, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home in Luverne directing. Mrs. Bowden dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse. She was also a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Bowden was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Bowden; daughter, Alice Manning; son, Ronnie Bowden; and her parents, Laxie Earl and Zella Daniel Rogers. She is survived by her two sons, Frank (Carolyn) Bowden and Calvin (Gail) Bowden; six grandchildren, Jenny (Fred) Jinright, Leigh (George) Norris, Pam (Tony) Wood, Sabrina (Steve) Lawrence, Barbara (Wykel) Williams, and Ben Manning; eleven great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Tony Wood, George Norris, Fred Jinright, Randy Rogers, Danny Rogers, and Seth Wood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 - 10 AM.
