Oscar Dewitt Edge

EDGE, Mr. Dewitt, 71, a resident of the Bethlehem Community died Friday, July 9, 2010. Funeral services will be 2 PM on Monday, July 12, 2010 from Mountain Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Cates officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Edge is preceded in death by his parents, James C. “Vess” and Oleta Edge; sister, Ida Minshew; and three brothers, Jesse Calvin Edge, Jimmy Edge and Arthur Edge. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sarah S. Edge; four children, Mike (Sharon) Edge, Dawn Edge, Melissa Killough, and Jason (Danielle) Butts; three grandsons, Jared Edge, Brady Edge, and Jonas Butts. Active pallbearers will be Larry Cauthen, Albert Wallace, Ronny Rhodes, David Parker, Jerry White, and Skipper Davis. Jared and Brady Edge will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bethlehem Cemetery Fund or to one’s preferred charity.
