Mrs. Patricia Thompson Freeman, 85, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2020.
Mrs. Freeman was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising and taking care of her family, though no one could make her light up the way her great-grandchildren could. She was especially close to her granddaughters, Jessica Holliday (and her husband, Brian) and Robyn Jones, who took care of her. In her free time, she loved being outside, including in her garden, and listening to her beloved gospel music. Her family will dearly miss her love and tender care, but rejoice that she is with her Lord in Heaven.
Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her husband, R.J. Freeman; son, William Richard Mitchell; parents, John Walter & Lena Simmons Thompson; and six siblings, Willie Maude Lyke, Fred Thompson, Joe Thompson, Harry Thompson, Ivy Thompson, and Pat Thompson. She is survived by her two sons, Frank Mitchell and Lloyd Mitchell; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and her canine companion, Rosie.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Holliday, Jailen Jones, Jayden Carlos, Marlin Sexton, Jeremy Thornton, and Austin Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamari Jones and James Holliday.
