Patrick Dale Layton, Sr.

LAYTON, Mr. Patrick Dale, Sr., 62, a resident of Luverne died Tuesday December 13, 2011. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday December 16, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Green and Rev. Jim Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Layton is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nina Lee Layton and a brother, Sonny Layton. Survivors include two children, Dr. Patrick D. Layton, Jr. and Amanda S. Layton; three sisters, Reba (Roy) Sanders, Barbara (Curtis) McVey and Nina Jo (Taylor) Kilcrease; a brother, Dwight (Dianne) Layton; and a very special friend, Deborah Layton Anderson. Active pallbearers will be Douglas Cornett, Mack Snell, Paul Wallace, Paten Powell, Ashley Kilcrease, Andrew Kilcrease, Charlie Layton, Chris Layton, Steve Sanders and Larry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Jackie Layton, Kip Smith, Glenn Murry, Ellis Daniel and Gary Sanders. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
