Patsy Ann Sport

Mrs. Patsy Ann Sport, 87, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. Funeral services for Mrs. Sport will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 29, at Liberty Congregational Church with Rev. Robert Foreman officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Sport was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She spent her life taking care of her family, who returned her love just as fully. In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, walking, and watching beautiful birds around her home. She kept her mind sharp through her love of reading. In later years, she enjoyed being an active participant in the Dozier Senior Center. She will be deeply missed by all those she leaves behind.

Mrs. Sport was preceded in death by her husband, Venson Dazell Sport, and her parents, Dempsey Lee and Jessie Sierra Bryant Bowers. She is survived by her two loving sons, Mark (Kathleen) Sport and Steve (Jill) Sport; two grandchildren, Will Sport and Stacie Sport; sister, Peggy (George) Goff; and brother-in-law, David (Betty) Sport.

Active pallbearers will be Mark Sport, Steve Sport, Will Sport, Greg Sport, Cleveland “Bo” Dunn, and Hayden Hendon. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 - 2 PM.
