Paul Frederick Owens, Sr.

OWENS, Mr. Paul F. “Freddy” Owens, Sr., a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Funeral services for Mr. Owens will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 24, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Burton officiating. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Owens was preceded in death by his parents, Amos C. and Sudie Cauthen Owens, and his brother, Glenn Owens. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Oleta Hall Owens, three children, Paul Owens, Jr., Tammi (Jim) Stroud, and Paige (Tenise) Owens, five grandchildren, Alex Stroud, Alden Stroud, Preston Owens, Logan Owens, and Coleman Owens, sister, Margie (Joe) Poole, and several loving nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Alex Stroud, Alden Stroud, Preston Owens, Justin Owens, Dusty Russell, Joe Poole, Shelby Cauthen, and Jim Stroud. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to one’s favorite charity. They will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 – 2pm.
