Phillip Coby Evans, Jr.

EVANS, Mr. Phillip Coby, Jr., age 74, a resident of Highland Home, AL passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jack Cates officiating. Interment will follow in Berea Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Phillip was preceded in death by wife, Patricia Surles Evans, and his parents, Phillip Coby “Tince” Evans, Sr. and Willie Lee Reaves Evans. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Ruby Milstead Evans; daughters, Karen (Don) Brock, Susan (Shannon) Fontaine, and Jerell Milstead; seven grandchildren, Brandi Varner, Lauri Regan, Misty Poole, Laura Locke, and Savannah, Ryan, and Hayden Fontaine; and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lamar Thomas, Dee Bennett, T.H. Cowles, Jr., Ken Flowers, Winston Farrior, and Ryan Fontaine. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5 – 7 pm.
