Phillip Dale Williamson

Mr. Phillip Dale Williamson, 66, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022. A private memorial service for Mr. Williamson will be held at a later time.

Mr. Williamson was one of those rare souls who could be entirely happy and satisfied with his own company. He spent a good portion of his life working as a poultry farmer and thoroughly enjoyed working with the various animals he raised, including cows and horses. There were few things he enjoyed more than spending time in the beauty of nature surrounding him, from riding horses to fishing at some of his favorite spots. In his later life, he also took up painting as a way to pass the time. He was a special person and will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his parents, Grady & Mary Frances Taylor Williamson, and an infant brother, Grady Williamson Jr. He is survived by his loving siblings, Ruth Messick, James (Carol) Williamson, Randy Williamson, Patricia (Ted) Eyester, Brenda (Jack) Kervin, and Debra (Denny) Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
