Renell "Nell" Raybon

RAYBON, Mr. Renell “Nell”, 88, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, died Monday, October 5, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Indian Creek Church with Rev. Charles Phillips and Rev. David Jeffery officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Raybon was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Boswell Reaves, his father, Clyde Raybon, and his brother, Walter Raybon. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruthie Lee Raybon; his daughter, Shilene (Junior Ray) Strops; five grandchildren, Burt Odom, Rene (Jason) Mathews, Todd (Jessica) Odom, Steven Odom, and Kyle (Brittney) Odom; six great-grandchildren, Jasmine Odom, Brooke Odom, Nick Odom, Eli Odom, Laney Mathews, and Lucian Xander Mathews; and two brothers, Royce (Dot) Reaves and Roydon (Glenda) Reaves. Active pallbearers will be Burt Odom, Todd Odom, Kyle Odom, Mark Reaves, Shannon Reaves, Jason Mathews, and Steven Odom. Mr. Raybon will lie-in-state at the church Thursday morning for 30 minutes prior to service. The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
