Rex Lewis Kimbro

KIMBRO, Mr. Rex Lewis (82) a resident of Dozier passed away peacefully at his home Saturday January 19, 2013. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday January 21, 2013 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. W.O. Sanders and Rev. Jerry Hogwood officiating. Interment will follow in Kimbro Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Kimbro is preceded in death by his parents, Jennings and Myrtle Lee Kimbro; a brother, Joe D. Kimbro; and two sisters, Jeanette Sirmon and Mary Payne. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Suwannee Kimbro; three children, Ricky (Shelia) Kimbro, Sharon (Bill) Norman, and Janet (Ned) Sheffield; seven grandchildren; a brother, Don (Minnette) Kimbro; and many nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be nephews, Ted, Kim, and Mike Payne, Al Watson, Keith Ward, Steve Sirmon, Robert and Donnie Kimbro, Steve and Greg Vann. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10 am until service time.
