Rita Bradley Perdue, 63, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2026. A celebration of Rita's life has not been scheduled at this time.

Rita was a shining bright light in this cold, often cruel, world. Her love for people was always evident no matter where she was or what she was doing. And, no matter the circumstance or language barrier, it was guaranteed Rita was gonna talk to everyone she met! She was always generous to a fault, especially when it was a child in need. Children always held a special place in her heart, especially when it came to the grandchildren she claimed through love. Oh, and they all adored their "Re-Re" too, with all their hearts. Words cannot express how dearly Rita was loved and will be missed, but comfort can be found in the knowledge that she has finally found peace.

Rita was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Leland "PeeWee" Wallace, and parents, James Wilton & Bernice Owens Bradley. She is survived by her loving spouse of 31 years, Bob Perdue; stepsons, Mark (Nichole) Perdue and Jonathan (Stacy) Perdue; several grandchildren; siblings Cindy McWay, Rick Bradley, and Mike Bradley; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
