Robert Earl Bledsoe

April 13, 1961 — October 9, 2022

Milton

Mr. Robert "Bob" Earl Bledsoe, 61, a resident of Milton, Florida, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 9th, 2022. Funeral services for Mr. Bledsoe will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, October 16th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday for one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Bledsoe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who dedicated his life to providing his family with the best life he could possibly give them. He was the very definition of self-sacrificing as he always put their wants and needs first in his life. He was also a faithful Christian who firmly believed in both the power of prayer and in testifying/witnessing to the miraculous power of his Lord. In return, he was blessed with a full and happy life that included his beloved family and friends, as well as his loyal canine companions, Scrappy, Pepper, and Ripley Jo. Never doubt that he would be quick share the power and Glory of God with anyone he encountered.

Mr. Bledsoe proudly served his country with the 101st Airborne in the United States Army in his younger days. On Saturdays in the Fall, he could be found cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he never failed to be tickled by the antics of one of his favorite characters, Gomer Pyle. In his free time, he was a wiz on a BBQ grill and enjoyed singing favorite tunes with his daughter. He had a gregarious personality who loved to engage with and spend times with others. He was the kind of man who truly never met a stranger and made a memorable impression on all those he encountered throughout his life. He will be sorely missed by all of the loved ones he has left behind, but he will continue to live on in their hearts and minds, as well as through the faces of the children he loved so dearly.

Mr. Bledsoe was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus & Ella Yvonne Drake Bledsoe, and his brother, Russell Bledsoe. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Marie Faulk Bledsoe; children, Robert Bledsoe Jr, Keith (Lydia) Bledsoe, Joshua Bledsoe, Justin (Anastasia) Bledsoe, and Victoria Bledsoe (Austin); grandchildren, Zoei Bledsoe, Silas Bledsoe, and Landyn Bledsoe; siblings, Jesse Bledsoe, Ray Bledsoe, Cyndie Hale, and Candace Bledsoe; stepmother, Freda Bledsoe; and several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Keith Bledsoe, Justin Bledsoe, Terry Harris, Austin Hollingsworth, Ronnie Williamson, and Austin Walker.
