Interment will follow in Cool Spring Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
Robert was a gifted carpenter because there wasn't much he couldn't create out of wood. He spent most of his life building cabinets and furniture to beautify the homes of other people, but his proudest work was the labor of love that was the house he shared with the love of his life, his precious wife Angeline. He was responsible for completing renovating their home, including building all of the cabinetry and a good portion of their furniture! In his free time, he had a passionate love for dominoes, and was well known there wasn't much he wouldn't do to get a game going. He also loved all kinds of music, especially anything he could play on his guitar. On Saturdays in the Fall, everything had to come to a stop while his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide was competing on the gridiron!
Above all, Robert was simply one of the kindest and caring men you could ever be fortunate to have in your life. However, he was so humble that he wasn't going to point that out to you! He knew how to have a good time and how to turn the lemons in life into lemonade because he knew the importance in keeping a great sense of humor about all of the slings and arrows life throws at you. Robert was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who spent his life passing on all of life's lessons to his own children and grandchildren. He even took the time to teach his daughter and granddaughters how to play softball...a job he did so well that his eldest granddaughter earned a scholarship to college thanks to his early lessons. He was the rock his family was built upon and they loved him with everything they had, just like he had always loved them. Words cannot express how much he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him, but they have a lifetime of cherished memories to hold on to for many more years to come.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Boaty & Ruthie Pouncey Frazier, and brothers, Willie George Frazier, Willie Sam Frazier, John Henry Frazier, Otis Frazier, and Boaty Lee Frazier. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Angeline Sampley Frazier; their children, Robert Lamar Frazier and Melissa Ann Frazier Coshatt; grandchildren, Justin Lee Tadlock, Amy Tadlock-Franklin, Kenneth Darrell, Scott Coshatt, and Amber Lynn Coshatt; great-granddaughter, Ada Rae Franklin; sisters, Edna Heath and Ruby Jewell Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Otis Ray Frazier, John Robert Yoder, Anthony Frazier, Kenny Wayne Frazier, Paul Frazier, Kenneth Darrel Scott Coshatt.
