Robert Leonard Hatfield, Jr.

Major Mr. Robert L. Hatfield,Jr.,USAF (Ret), 80, a resident of Prattville, AL died Sunday, June 01, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Crouse officiating. Mr. Hatfield was preceded in death by a wife, Mary Lou Hatfield; his parents, Robert L. and Caroline Hatfield, Sr.; one sister, Lynne Hatfield; and his brother, Richard Hatfield. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Smith Hatfield; three children, Robert L. (Wyn) Hatfield, III, David Hatfield, and Catherine (Tim) Cirone; and two sisters, Sandra McCarthy and Cynthia Hatfield. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1 pm until service time. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Luverne Health and Rehabilitation, and especially those on Walker’s Lane for their expert care of Bob over the last few months. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Comfort Care Hospice, or one’s favorite charity.
