Robert Ray Moore

MOORE, Robert Ray, 73, a resident of Lapine died Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Mr. Moore grew up in Clinchco, VA but lived in Lapine for the last forty-two years of his life. He worked as a meat cutter and butcher for most of his working years. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jack Cates officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Alice McKinney Moore, six brothers, and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Twinette Sexton Moore; five children, Cheryl (Jeff) Branon, Sherri Farley, Brenda (Willie) Herring, Marie (Jeff) Owens, and Ray Moore; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Hunter Branon, Mark Williams, Steven Williams, Heath Sexton, Kyle Sexton, and Andy Burgans. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:30 pm until service time.
