Mr. Robert Theodore Pritchett, 76, a resident of Grady, Alabama, sadly lost his battle with COVID-19 on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Crenshaw Community Hospital. A graveside service for Mr. Pritchett will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 28th, in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Barton officiating and Turners Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Pritchett had a passion for music, and some of his best memories were playing the guitar with his brother-in-law James and nephew Bobby. He enjoyed writing songs and performing them at Bradleyton Baptist Church, where he also served as a deacon for many years. He was also an avid reader, and took exceptional pride in his own writings. One of his biggest accomplishments was writing a book about his life and his 40 years of work at Pepsi-Cola in Luverne.
Mr. Pritchett was a man who loved his God, family, and church family.. He treasured his many photo albums that covered the entirety of his life and his scrapbooks filled with newspaper clippings of his family’s accomplishments. Above all, he had a kind and loving soul that will be truly missed by all those who loved him.
Mr. Pritchett was preceded in death by his parents, James & Grace Holland Pritchett; four siblings, James Pritchett, Ruth Davis, Jimmie Holladay, and Betty Tomberlin; sister-in-law, Mae Pritchett; two brothers-in-law, James Sipper & Harold Davis; and great-nephew, Jamie Kirkley. He is survived by his three siblings, Leo Pritchett, Patsy (Oren) Anderson, Jerry Pritchett; brother-in-law Hubert Tomberlin; sister-in-law, Sherry Cain; his loving nieces & nephews, Ronnie Davis Sr, Glenda Parrott, Elaine Holladay, Lorrie Holladay, Jeff Holladay, James Allen Holladay, Bobby Tomberlin, Paige Pritchett, & Amber Headley; and numerous great-nieces & great-nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Walter Dickey, John Dickey, Greg Dickey, Bobby Tomberlin, Will Headley, and Brett Lansdon.
