Roberta Eddy Shumaker

SHUMAKER, Mrs. Roberta L. Eddy, 77, a resident of Highland Home died Friday December 3, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, December 6, 2010 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Dr. Mickey Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Shumaker is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Shumaker and a grandson, Richard Palmer. Survivors include eight children, Sharon (Thomas) Barr, Rita (John) Adkins, Mary ( Tommy) Greene, Russell Palmer, Keith (JoAnn) Palmer, Leslie (Debbie) Palmer, Hershel Palmer and Becky (Tony) Hayward; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth (Ernie) Kalo; and two brothers, Robert (Emma) Eddy and Bill Eddy. Active pallbearers will be Danny Diaz, Justin Arthur, Michael Sexton, Michael Wood, Brian Sampley, Sean Barr, Jordan Roll and Mathew Owens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 pm until 7 pm.
