BLACKMON, Mr. Ronald P. “ Ronnie “, 68, a resident of Brantley died Friday, February 20, 2015. Memorial services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blackmon was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Odessa Kilpatrick Blackmon; two sisters, Wanda McBride and Barbara Jean Mitchell; and a brother, Royce Blackmon. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, June Mitchell Blackmon; three sons, Darren (Jill) Blackmon, Duane Blackmon, and Kevin Blackmon; eight grandchildren, Andrue Blackmon, Carter Blackmon, Jonah Blackmon, Emory Blackmon, Hunter Blackmon, Asa Blackmon, Axel Blackmon, and Braelyn Blackmon; three sisters, Gail (Sam) Furr, Lauris Ann (Willie) Dolloff, and Patsy (Bobby) Owens; brother, John (Myra) Blackmon; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 am until service time.
