Ronald Edward Richards

Ronald Edward Richards, 67, a resident of Rutledge, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025. A celebration of his life has not been announced at this time.

Ronnie was a crane operator who was blessed to be able to travel all over the country and even out of country with his beloved wife, Denise. In his free time, there were few things he enjoyed more than riding his Harley Davidson. On Saturdays in the fall, you could bet Ronnie was going to be cheering on his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide to victory on the gridiron. Now, there's no denying he was quite the character and definitely a discerning person when it came to whom he spent his time with...so count yourself fortunate if you were one of those lucky few. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, "Poppy" to three cherished grandchildren, brother, and uncle who was loved and will be missed beyond measure.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Joyce Bush Richards. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Hall Richards; children, Clint (Barbara) Hester and Casey Hester; grandchildren, Macon, Lee, and Brix; sister, Kelli (Mac) George; and nephew, Tyler (Erika) George.
