Roy Thomas Carter, Iii

CARTER, Roy Thomas, III, 62, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 21, at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Horn officiating. Interment will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his father, Robert Edward Carter, and his mother, Joyce Martin Carter Beasley. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Jordan Carter, three children, Amy Lauren (Robert) Fisher, Matthew Thomas Carter, and Jennifer Lynn (Jared) Dilly, and three grandchildren, Madeline Faye Carter, Austin James Fisher, and Logan Jack Dilly. Active pallbearers will be Robert Brandon Fisher, Jared Dilly, James Jordan, Robert Carter, Jr., Tracy Sanders, and Nick Doss. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 – 2pm.
