Roy Isaac Money

MONEY, Mr. Roy Isaac, 77, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018.  Funeral services for Mr. Money will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, August 9, at Glenwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Weeks and Rev. John Whitfield officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Money was a faithful member of Glenwood United Methodist Church, and an ardent fan of Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Mary Alice Money. Mr. Money is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Roberta Cornett Money; two sons, Allen (Amy) Money and Mike (Karan) Money; three grandchildren, Valerie, Jonathan, and Newt Money; sister, Marilyn (Bill) Barnes; and three brothers, Jack Money, John (Dee) Money, and Joe Money. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Money, Bo Boyd, Bradley Gorey, Mike Money, Ben Boyd, and Ken Williams. The family would like to extend their gratitude to both the staff of Luverne Health and Rehabilitation and the nurses of Compassus Hospice for their care of Roy.  They request that any memorial donations be made to Bethel Cemetery, ℅ William McDougald, 738 Davis Road, Brantley, AL 36009 or to the Glenwood United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 53, Glenwood, AL 36034. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1 - 2 PM.
