Roy Gene Newborn

NEWBORN, Roy Gene, 47, of Brantley passed away suddenly Saturday, June 11, 2011. He is survived by his wife, with whom he has spent a total of 28 wonderful years, Peggy Newborn. He grew up in Springport, MI and served honorably in the US Army for four years. He moved to Brantley in 2005 where he was famous for his knowledge of manufacturing stamping in the automotive industry. Roy’s favorite thing was simply spending time with the love of his life, Peggy. He spent much of his free time relaxing in the pool or taking care of his car. He was well known among his family and friends for his kindness and generosity. He will be missed and loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Green officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
